MY SESSIONS
The Design of "Intelligent" AAC Technology
About session
Digital Assistive Technologies (dATs) have the potential to transform the lives of persons with complex communication needs, especially in the form of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) technologies. However, many people who use of AAC find it difficult to engage in extended conversation, responding instead to questions using single words and short utterances. We will explore areas of Artificial Intelligence and discuss the potential of AI to support narrative within the AAC domain.
