Opening Up the Web to Eye Gaze for Immediate Success

About session

Eye gaze doesn’t need to be intimidating for people to use as an access method. Each one of us has a unique set of personal interests, sometimes related to our specific occupational roles, relationships or life stage, and this impacts the web content and applications that are relevant to serving our (digital communication) needs. Engagement in familiar and meaningful digital activities can decrease stress levels for people who are new to eye gaze and build motivation and resilience during eye gaze skill development. By exposing familiar and localized web content to a person new to eye gaze, in an easy or familiar interface, we can build success and confidence for future digital participation and engagement for people using eye gaze.
